Don't count on it working very long or with much of a range. Your gauge better be close to the house, because the wireless transmission won't go far. The manual is darn near useless, not because you can't understand it, but because the buttons will gradually lose some of their functions until you can no longer reset the total rainfall, can no longer access some functions, etc. The gauge itself is somewhat poorly constructed as well, making changing the batteries a real chore that requires a jewelers screwdriver and disassembling the entire device. Two stars only because it will work (for a while) right out of the box. Eventually, it will become a one star product.
